A taste of authentic Italy came to the Steel City with the opening of Molinaro Ristorante and Bar (Market Square, Downtown), back in June of last year. Owned by Ron Molinaro and his partner Bob Wolfinger and a kitchen run by lead executive chef Ritchie Sphatt, the restaurant features delicious Italian staples that would make any Nonna nervous. The menu includes all time favorites like Chicken Parmigiano, Romano, and Caprese with an influx of more unique dishes such as Ricotta Gnocchi Siciliana and Branzino.

From now until the end of the show run, Molinaro will be offering a specialty cocktail inspired by A Bronx Tale, showing at the Benedum Center November 19 - 24. This Broadway hit transports audiences to the stoops of the Bronx in the 1960s, where a young man is caught between the father he loves and the mob boss he’d love to be. The show is based on the movie adaptation of the same name and real life story of beloved actor Chazz Palminteri.

Featured Cocktail: Loved or Feared

Is there anything tougher than Port and Johnny Walker Black? Chazz Palminteri may disagree but with this drink in your hand you’ll feel like a Bronx native. In addition to the classic Johnny Walker and Port combination this cocktail features lemon, pomegranate juice, and angostura bitters finished up with a lemon twist.

Extra credit: Anyone can enjoy the fare, but only PNC Broadway in Pittsburgh season ticket holders and the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust members receive A-list dining discounts while dining at Molinaro this week. Simply show your ticket stub or membership card to receive 15% off your meal (less alcohol, taxes, and gratuity). Become a member or season ticket holder to upgrade your experience for future shows.
